I AM Team Fem-o-lition
Sometimes you just get lucky! This year I had an all women I am Crossfit team who absolutely blew it out of the water! As a Team we lost 31% body fat and everyone improved on their final WOD. You guys were a blast to coach and an inspiration to watch! It’s great to be in a community where your always making new friends and gaining support!

I am honored to be taking part in an upcoming fashion show and fundraiser, PHYSIQ, which is a fundraiser to help raise money for the Austin Affiliate of Susan G Komen for the Cure. This will be a huge event in the fitness community and I am inviting all of you to come have some fun and help raise funds! Plus, you can see me fall…I mean strut, on the runway =) Tickets are only $12 if you buy them through me or $15 online…you can pick your tickets up at the front desk of the Central gym.

Women’s Competition Series

The Champion Mindset Challenge is designed for women to challenge the mental barriers that are put up when facing our fears in competition!   This Challenge will allow you to learn the basic mental practices necessary for you to have success in a workout in a competitive environment to achieve the results you want.

The competition is open to everyone and scaled to all levels of fitness - whether you are a seasoned competitor looking to beat your best time or a women who has never taken on a competition before - this is for you!
Details: On Saturday, February 11th all Champion Mindset Competitors will take on HELEN. Four weeks later, on March 10th you will return to face Helen with your new strategies for beating your time.  You will receive a 4 week Champion Mindset workbook, complete with weekly mental exercises that will help you set your mind and your body for success to achieve the results desired in four weeks time.
*Open to ALL women who are current clients @ Central, ATX and Trigger Point.

Practice Brings Results:
Just ask Blake and Tiff, two ladies that have been in programs over the past few  years who have finally reached their pullup goal. They recently  signed up for the I Am Crossfit Challenge and 1 week later they crushed  the pull up goal they had set! They both went from using a band last  week, to 4 unassisted kipping pullups this week. All they did was spend a few extra  minutes each day before class to practice. Crazy, huh!!
If you are looking to get better at a skill, ask your Crossfit coach to  work with you a few minutes before or after  class and see what you can  accomplish!

Crossfit Babies!!!!!!!!
My client Mel and her husband Joe are the proud new parents of  little baby Elliot!
He was born Tuesday afternoon only a few hours after Mel’s early morning  Crossfit class. She woke up that morning with what she thought was a  belly ache from some bad food. Around 10am the cramps got worse and she  realized it might be time to grab her hubby and head for the hospital!  Only 3 pushes and a few hours later, she popped out a baby. Elliot came  quite a bit sooner than expected for the Moy’s, but the doctor said he  came out like a Champ! Beautiful, strong, and healthy! Mel Crossfitted until the day she gave birth like many Crossfit moms do.  To some of you this seems foreign and almost scary, to most of you  reading this it’s normal and expected. We know that as women we have to  take exceptional care of our bodies, and when we get pregnant we have to  step up our exercise and nutrition that much more. Coach Carey Kepler wrote a great blog about her experience with having  two children while Crossfitting through the 9 months. Check it here! Congrat Mel & Joe, and welcome to the world Elliot Moy!!!

Fitness Rehab: 3 month program 
This is an online/in home personal training and nutrition program designed to make you capable of mastering  fitness on your own w/ your Coach only a phone call away.
The first month you will meet with your trainer 2 times a week in the gym to learn all the movements you will need to know to take your exercise program home with you. You will have an initial nutrition assessment, body fat testing and measurements, and goal setting meeting. Every week you will check in with your coach and turn in a food log. The second and third month you will be sent 4 at home workouts per week. You will also check in every two weeks at the gym with your trainer and do a workout. Every 30 days you will retest your body composition.
This program will be highly focused on achieving your goals and instilling quality food choices in your daily routine. As well as schooling you up on how to exercise efficiently on your own at home.

Tis the Season!!!!!
So the holidays are here and we only have one more week of programs, uh oh! What will you do with all your free time from the gym?
Workout…duh!!
All of my classes are starting a double under challenge next Monday. We will record your max double-unders in 1 min and retest in 1 month. A PRIZE will go to most improved and best in show!!!! Let me know if you want to join in the Christmas fun!!!

Wanna Get Ripped: Stop Eating Shit! 
Not too hard to understand, but a bit more complicated to implement. Sean, pictured above, is a Central client that came to our program motivated to jump in full force. He immediately changed his diet and currently Crossfit’s 5 days a week! He started taking Advocare supplements and has put on a ton of muscle mass. Many of us don’t have quite the time in our week to WOD 5 days a week, but we are all capable of making changes to our diet. To find out more info on food and nutrition come to a Nutrition meeting at Crossfit Central next Tuesday at 12:15 or 7pm.
